
FIFG FOOTGOLF WORLD CUP HISTORY
The FIFG FootGolf World Cup is the biggest FootGolf event in the World.
Since 2012 the FIFG has organized three World Cup competitions. The FIFG FootGolf World Cup 2018 in Marrakesh will be the 3rd edition, after Hungary in 2012 and Argentina in 2016.
This 3rd edition of the FIFG FootGolf World Cup will be the first World Cup, with a large media presence, as the sport has grown exponentially since 2012. It will also be the first World Cup with more than 400 players, including former professional football players as part of their national team. This World Cup will also be very special in it will be the first edition with the Senior and Women categories.

The history of FIFG FootGolf World Cup started in Hungary in 2012. Indeed, Hungary had organized the first official FootGolf World Cup with 77 players. After three intense days of competition the Hungarian Bela Lengyel became the first FootGolf World Cup Champion.
The second FIFG FootGolf World Cup took place in Buenos Aires in Argentina, on the Pilar Golf Club.
Following the development of FootGolf, the competition welcomed more than 230 players from 26 different countries.
And it's finally Christian OTERO from Argentina who won this 2nd FootGolf World Cup and United States by beating Argentina in Final became the first ever FootGolf Team to win the World Cup Trophy in the country competition.
This December, the third edition of the FIFG FootGolf World Cup will be organized by AFFG and AFGM in Marrakesh. The competition will last one full week and will welcome between 400 and 500 players from 37 different countries. The individual competition for Men, Senior and Women will take place in 4 rounds. The Team competition will take place between the best 16 countries over 2 days.
