QUALIFICATION SYSTEM
CONDITIONS
Each FIFG Member Country can choose its own criteria to select the members of its national team, based on the number of players they qualify for. The FIFG entry conditions for players will be the following :
• All players must have a 2018 FIFG World Tour License before the 30th of June 2018*
• Every player must have participated in at least 5 FIFG World Tour tournaments, official competitions organized by the national FIFG Member or a combination of both, and should be able to proove it if necessary.*
*Each association can apply for special dispensation for these points to the organizing committee
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1) General informations
• Only FIFG Member Countries and their affililiated players with World Tour license (WTL) can compete. An exception can be done for any famous former professionnal player who will be able to compete for his own country.
• Senior players can choose to compete in the Men or in the Senior Category, but not in both.
• A Senior World Cup Player is someone who has at least 46 years in 2018 - Born in 1972.
• The FIFG World Cup 2018 will have no cash purse.
• The WC competition will be awarded 1000 WT points same as a Major, but these points will be added on Top of the Majors, counting for the WT Ranking.
• Each National Team will have one official captain. The captain may be a player or not and it is up to the FIFG Member Country to decide. In case the captain is a player, he or she cannot leave their spot or stop the game if other player needs immediate help. There will be no substitute captains or other authorized people to act for captain in absence.
• Any player who is on the final list on the 30th of November could be replaced by an other player only in case of emergency situation (ex : serious injury - illnesses - death ...). The captain is the only person who will be able to inform the organisation.
2) Spots
• Team Competition : Every president of a FIFG Member Country will be able to take 10 extra spots for players to compete in the Team Competition exclusively. These extra players won't be able to compete in any other categories.
• Every country will be able to have 2 players maximum in the Ladies category.
• Every President of a FIFG Member country will be able to invite a maximum of 3 Former Professional Football player who have officially represented their country playing for their national football team, to compete in the World Cup, in their category; A letter of Approval must be send to the Organisation Commitee before the end of September. Those players will not count in the total spots of their country.
• Every President of a FIFG Member Country will be able to take an extra spot in the national squad and participate as a competitive player, fully respecting the entry conditions for players. Every President will have to confirm his participation before the end of september.
• Free card for the current General Category FIFG World Champion : Christian Otero.
• The number of spots per country will be determined by the following scale (see below). This scale is based on the number of FIFG 2017 World Tour licences (WTL) and number of players who participated in WT tournaments during 2017.
• The final number of spots has been announced on the 30th of June 2018.
The final number of spots per country has been based on the average number of players with WT license between 2017 and 2018, combined with the average number of participant players in WT tournaments during the same period.
3) World Tour qualifying spots
• The WT Top 20 players in the Men Category on the 20th of November 2018, may qualify for the World Cup directly, without taking any of the regular spots granted to their countries (for example, if Team UK has 20 spots confirmed for the World Cup, and 5 UK players are in the top 20, Team UK will increase to 25 players in the Men Category.
• Direct qualification for the World Tour n° 1 in Ladies category on the 20th of November.
• Direct qualification for the top 3 World Tour ranking in Seniors category on the 20th of November
